What it is

Coaching is an experiential process that helps the individual being coached to expand their awareness and build leadership expertise that enables superior outcomes.

I specialize in three types of coaching: executive coaching, new leader transition coaching and career transition coaching.

How it works

I work with you in one-to-one interactions; the focus of our work together is informed by data and information drawn from many perspectives, and is based on confidentiality, mutual trust and respect. If the organization is involved, the organization, the coachee and I work in a defined partnership.

To do this, I will

  • Ask question and listen intently, compassionately, and objectively
  • Use assessment tools (as needed) that are practical and easy to understand
  • Adhere to the highest levels of ethics and confidentiality
  • Understand organization dynamics, leadership development, power and political dynamics

When you need it

When team / group dynamics are negatively impacting productivity and results.

What it is

I help the team / group reflect on, understand and change its dynamics to unleash the full potential of the team and create constructive and creative team / group dynamics.

How it works

We first start with gathering data and information that helps the team / group understand the dynamics from many perspectives. Based on this information, the team / group works together through facilitated sessions to “work out the kinks.”  This can include: addressing conflict and learning how to have productive conflict, clarifying roles and responsibilities, aligning goals and objectives, and developing a shared vision and plan.

To do this, I will

  • Focus on the way the team interacts, in addition to the specific challenges the team faces
  • Enable the team with the tools it needs to solve its own problems
  • Help the team “get on the balcony” to better see itself

I offer an expert facilitation, training and training design skillset that can be put to use in any context in which learning needs to happen.

How it works

You provide the goal and context and I provide the process and facilitation / training expertise to design and design a training experience that achieves your desired results.

To do this, I will

  • Become familiar with the organizational culture and context to ensure the process “fits”
  • Use participatory and participant centered approaches
  • Stimulate dialogue and interaction between participants
  • Provide content experience on professional development topics, such as: emotional intelligence, communication, and leadership and management skills
